About this policy

Frederick County Fair ("the site," "we," "us") is an independently run visitor's guide to the Great Frederick Fair, published at this domain. We are not affiliated with the Frederick County Agricultural Society or the official fair. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit.

What we collect

Directly: nothing

This site is a set of static pages. There is no login, no account, no comment form, no newsletter sign-up, and no server-side database on our end that stores what you do here. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information through the site itself.

If you email us — see Contact, below — we obviously receive whatever you choose to put in that email, including your address. That's a direct conversation between you and us, not something the site collects automatically.

Behind the scenes

Server & hosting logs

Like essentially every website, the server or hosting platform that delivers these pages to your browser automatically logs standard technical information — your IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is routine web-server behavior, used only for things like security, diagnosing errors, and understanding aggregate traffic. We don't cross-reference it with any other data about you.

If we add an analytics tool such as Google Analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first, and that section will describe exactly what it measures.

This site is a general-audience visitor's guide and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information through direct contact, email us and we will delete it.
